Beach Washers takes pride in offering a full range of wood surface restoration options. More times, often than not, the wood just needs a routine washing and re-application of stain. Sometimes more rigorous methods need to be used. If need be, we have the ability to strip most old deteriorated stains down to bare wood. Sanding is often required after stripping, to give the best possible finished result. Please call to schedule your free estimate to have “The Beach Washers Stain Team” getting your wood looking good.
Choose the right stain for you.
Choose these stains if you want a rich, vibrant solid finish that completely hides the wood grain while allowing very little of the wood texture to show through. Be careful though, these are extremely hard and sometimes impossible to fully remove to bare wood. Once, you go here, there’s often no going back.
Semi-solid/semi-opaque finishes mask most of the wood grain, but allows some of the wood texture to be seen. This dark of stain provides excellent UV protection, but is harder to go back to lighter finishes down the road.
Lightly pigmented, these stains provide more color on the surface than wood toner stains, while still letting the wood grain to be seen. The darker the stain, the more UV protection and less greying.
Wood Toned & Clear Stain
Clear and lightly tinted stains are nearly transparent, so they allow the most wood grain and texture to show through. These do not offer UV protection, so wood greying will occur quickly.
